The COST-G Plotter

This feature in the COST-G Plotter allows you to visualize quickly and easily images of the GRACE solutions. Solutions are expressed in global grids of geoid heights or equivalent water heights, as well as spherical harmonics amplitude and spectrum. These are differences with the mean of the time-series. Images of GRACE solutions
On this page you can plot images of the GRACE solutions. You can choose the gravity functional (geoid heights or equivalent water heights), the data center and version, and the date you are interested in.

Quick control buttons
Smart control buttons are located between the rectangular map and the polar map. As an alternative to the form, they allow you to quickly browse images and compare results between groups. The globe button on the left enables you to alternate between geoid and water Heights, the bullets in the middle enable you to choose the data center and version, and the next/previous buttons on the right enable you to travel in time.

What do the images represent?
The left part of the image shows the grids of geoid heights or equivalent water heights, in rectangular and polar projections. These are differences with respect to the mean of each time-series. The upper right side shows the spherical harmonics amplitude by degree and order, i.e. √(Clm²+Slm²). The lower right side shows the spectrum by degree (thick line) and the spectrum by order (thin line).
